Today, I wanted to just quickly pop in and share a really easy and inexpensive table-scape that you can quickly and easily recreate for your holiday tables! This particular table-scape I created was really inexpensive as most things came from the Dollar Tree!
I wanted to show that it’s super simple to create a beautiful table-scape on a budget! My budget for this project was around $10 and I totally made it happen for wayyyy less than that, and you can too! It’s perfect for both Thanksgiving (if you’re in the US and celebrate it this time of year), Christmas or really, any winter holiday you may celebrate!
Just a couple of tips that I wanted to share for keeping to a budget for this project:
- Use what you already have – I like to think of myself as a fairly minimalistic person. I don’t like to have a lot of unnecessary things and this goes for the holidays as well. It’s easy to get sucked into these perfect Instagram photos you see that bloggers staged by going out and buying all these really beautiful pieces and you want to recreate them. I’m not saying it’s a bad thing to do, I’m just saying that for us tiny bloggers on a budget, running out and buying a bunch of pieces to create a beautiful, Pinterest-y, perfect tablescape isn’t always an option. We’ve got to do what we can with what we’ve got and honestly, I think that sometimes, using what you have forces you to use your imagination and they often end up looking more beautiful than those tables that were made up with brand new pieces. So use what you’ve already got around your house or borrow from family and friends for a really unique, personal touch!
- If you’re looking to buy something, thrift it or find it on the cheap – Honestly…these special pieces are only getting pulled out once or twice a year and I personally can’t justify spending a lot of money for something that will get such little use. I’ve found some really beautiful and high quality things at local thrift stores that would look beautiful on a holiday table! At this time of year especially, dollar stores and thrift stores alike, put out their extra special, holiday pieces. You’d be surprised what you can find!
- Keep it simple – Sometimes, those things that take less effort can be the most beautiful. Simplicity can be a glorious thing! If you’re on a budget, keeping it simple will only help you!
