My Top 5 Registry Picks – What I’m Most Excited For

Well hello there!

So yeah..at 11 weeks pregnant, I decided that I needed to get my registry done. “Already?” Yes…already. I don’t care, I’m excited, okay?!

I literally didn’t know how much fun doing a baby registry was and I’m so happy we did this earlier rather than later down the road.  I had so much fun roaming up and down the aisles scanning things for our registry, and picturing us using each and every item in the future. It was just so much fun, I loved every second. Not sure my husband shares that sentiment but even so…🤷🏼‍♀️.

So anyway, below I’m listing the 5 things I’m really excited about. Call this my wishlist, if you will!

Maxi-Cosi Pria 70 Convertible Car Seat

The first time I ever heard about Maxi-Cosi was from my girl Jessica over at Happily Hughes.  She had written a post (you can read it here) about Maxi-Cosi about two years ago but continues to write amazing things about them now.  She mentioned that she had tested out many car seats but that she got into a bad car accident and her car was totaled but her kids were totally untouched thanks to their safe Maxi-Cosi seats and that just totally sold me.  The thought that a car seat could have done that for her just totally makes me trust this brand, even before having the ability to test it out for myself. So yeah, you could say I’m definitely wishing for this one! We don’t plan on getting an infant carrier car seat so this convertible car seat seems super ideal for us! It’s safe for babies both rear and front-facing and holds from 9-70lbs.

Baby Jogger City Select LUX

This, my friends is what I have been referring to as (practically) the Rolls-Royce of baby strollers.  My best friend, Kate, her parents live in our neighborhood and her brother was visiting with their son and so Kate walked him over to our house for a little visit while she was watching him.  They have the Baby Jogger City Select and when I tell you that kid looked comfy AF in this stroller…he looked comfy. She told me she was loving using the stroller and had me walk it down the driveway and by the time I got to the sidewalk (we don’t have a very long driveway) I was like “yup…this is the one I want”.  This thing is so sweet, you guys. It pushes so smoothly and folds up insanely easily.  Also, what I think is the ultimate seller for this bad boy is the fact that it can convert into a double stroller AND you can add on a glider board for a THIRD kid. Are ya’ kidding me?! Even though this thing is definitely pricier than most strollers, the fact that you can fit three kids on this thing is worth the money if you ask me. ALSO, on a side note, you can flip that seat around so the baby can face you or face forward. As a double stroller, the seats can both face forward, they can face each other, they can both face the parent, you can get a bassinet….y’all the possibilities are nearly endless and that’s HUGE.

4moms, Breeze, Play Yard

Ok, so when I first started doing my registry, I started it on Target’s website. I was searching for a pack-n-play and came across this one. It was minimal, which is a must for me (hence the plain, little coloring/design-y things above and on my entire registry as a whole) and streamline and so I decided to check it out. Come to find out, y’all this thing is so simple! With normal play yards you have to lock the sides, then push the middle down and do all this freaking magic to set them up.  Well, not with this baby! No locking sides or any other confusion to put it up or take it down. You simply push down the middle and the sides lock on their own. To take it down you simple pull up on the pull tab in the middle and it closes down. It’s literally that simple. I’m totally all about convince and ease and for the money…this is totally worth it in my opinion!

Carter’s Baby Bear Hoodie

For starters, ARE YOU KIDDING ME? This little knit sweater is the cutest freaking thing I’ve ever seen. We aren’t finding out the gender of Baby H and this is totally perfect for a little boy or a little girl! Seems kind of silly to add to my top 5 but you know what? I don’t care. It’s cute as anything and it’s my list, okay?

Fawn Design Diaper Bag

If you even knew how long I’ve been eyeing a FD diaper bag…you’d judge me. I think I saw this for the first time on someone’s Instagram somewhere and I immediately fell in love.  This bag is so chic and doesn’t scream “HEY LOOK AT ME I’M A DIAPER BAG BEING WORN BY A MOM”. It’s chic enough that you could totally rock this on a girls night out without your baby and still look hella cool. OR you could just rock it while you’re with your kid and STILL look hella cool. Because moms are hella cool. Okay I’m going to stop saying “hella cool” now.  But seriously, this bag is so nice. The thing I love most about it is that it can be worn as a backpack, you can toss it over your shoulder or as a cross-body bag and you can attach it to your stroller. All the things in one AND it’s gorgeous. Also, I love supporting small shops so…that’s a plus!

So that’s all she wrote, you guys! I hope you enjoyed this wishlist of mine! Feel free to head on over and check out the other fun things I’ve got going on on my registry or to give yourself some ideas if you’re a first-time mama like me!

If you’re not a first time mama, what were your registry must-haves?
